TRAINING GROUND
WELCOME HOME FLYING BATS!
We warmly welcome women of all abilities – beginners or experienced players, new or existing members and any field position. We have a minimum age of 18 but there is no upper age limit. Training usually consists of a fitness section, a skills section and a game at the end. Players will be split into beginners, intermediate and experienced groups so we can gear our training more to your needs. Our expectation is that you will make training most weeks; which will greatly benefit your fitness and skill level and will help with team bonding and performance. If the weather is looking bad please keep an eye on your email or the website to confirm whether training is still on (we won’t call you).
Our new training home field for 2011 is on Holbeach Ave Tempe. When you drive in turn left and on your right you will see the fields – on the other sides we will have Grid Iron & Freebee.
MATCH GROUNDS
Matches are played every Sunday from early April through to the end of August. We only get one or two weekends off. It is a BIG commitment so if you are regularly unable to play on a Sunday please tell us when you register and we’ll mark you as a part time player. Otherwise it is grossly unfair on your team mates who may end up without enough players! Please see the maps below giving the address and location of each park. Where possible, public transport directions are provided. This is intended as a guide only. If you’re looking for timetables or directions from a specific place, try www.131500.info. Their trip planner section will tell you which trains/buses to catch and the times.
