Who can play?

Any woman aged 18 years or over may register with the Bats. There’s no upper age limit. Nor any other defining characteristics.

Like we said, the Bats is all about football for all. We welcome all women to come and play football and socialise. Whether you’re brand new to football or you’ve been playing for years, the Flying Bats would love to welcome you to the fold.

When is registration?

The club’s player registration period is generally from early January through to March.

The North West Sydney Women’s Football Association, where we play, limits the number of players the club may register in any one team. The club treats player registration on a first come first served basis. Players are then placed in teams according to their grading.

How much does it cost?

In 2017, the registration fees are as follows:

  • $314.40 for on-time standard membership (1 January – 31 January)
  • $293.30 for on-time student membership (1 January – 31 January)
  • $339.40 for late standard membership (from 1 February)
  • $318.30 for late student membership (from 1 February)

All registration fees must be paid in full before any player will be allowed to play or grade. You’re welcome to come along to one of our training sessions to try out the club. However, you’ll need to sign an insurance waiver as unfortunately you’re not covered until you become a member.

Players are also required to sign the association’s team registration form in order to play. The club asks that players make themselves available to sign the team registration form on a specified date as club officials are not able to chase players.
